This Surah, one of the 114 in the Quran, contains four stories with profound morals. Let’s explore them and understand their messages for us:

1. The People of the Cave

Story Summary: A group of young men, living in a disbelieving town, decide to flee for the sake of Allah. They seek refuge in a cave where Allah bestows His mercy upon them and protects them from the sun. They wake up to find the entire village has become believers.

2. The Owner of Two Gardens

Story Summary: A man blessed with two beautiful gardens forgets to thank Allah and doubts the afterlife. Consequently, his gardens are destroyed. He regrets, but it’s too late for his regret to benefit him.

Moral: Trial of Wealth

3. Musa (AS) and Khidr (AS)

Story Summary: Musa (AS) believes he is the most knowledgeable until Allah informs him of Khidr (AS), who possesses greater knowledge. Musa (AS) travels to learn from Khidr (AS), understanding that divine wisdom can be hidden in events that seem adverse.

Moral: Trial of Knowledge

4. Dhul-Qarnayn

Story Summary: Dhul-Qarnayn, a powerful and knowledgeable king, travels the world aiding people and spreading goodness. He helps overcome the threat of Yajooj-Majooj by building a massive dam, even with the help of people he can’t understand.

Moral: Trial of Power

Relationship between Surah Al-Kahf and the Dajjal

Surah Al-Kahf prepares believers to face the trials associated with Dajjal by highlighting similar trials faced by past believers. The Surah offers guidance on how to survive these trials:
